RESPONSIBILITIES

Creating an environment of learning and connection to the amazing story of the Bible for children on Sunday mornings.  I enjoy helping kids see how the stories are all connected and all point to Jesus as Savior.  I also enjoy helping families see how we all grow together in our faith journey and understanding God’s call and purpose for our life.

MY FAITH JOURNEY

I grew up in a family that regularly attended church on Sundays and participated in other programs and activities too.  My experience with the Bible was a familiarity with the stories, but not a real relationship with God.  That would come later, at the age of 19, when a conference speaker helped me understand that the stories that I knew from the Bible were actually true and connected to each other.  At that time, God captured my heart and I chose to follow the adventure that He had in store for me.  It has been a great journey so far, and I know that there are more exciting adventures to come.  I am thankful that my journey has brought me to MapleRidge Church and I am happy to connect my story with yours as we follow God’s path together.

FAMILY

I met Steph at a missionary training program in 2003.  We were married on December 31, 2004, and served as missionaries for four years, splitting our time between Ukraine, Bahamas, and New Orleans.  We have four daughters:  Aimee, Olivia, Eden and Ella.

PASSIONS FOR THE KINGDOM

Helping families grow together in God’s mission and purpose.

Working together as the larger body of Christ to bring hope and help to our communities.

FAVORITE BIBLE VERSE

Matthew 6:33 – “But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be provided to you.”

Romans 8.28 – “We know that all things work together for the good of those who love God—those whom he has called according to his plan.”

Daniel 3.17-18 – “If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God whom we serve is able to save us. He will rescue us from your power, Your Majesty. But even if he doesn’t, we want to make it clear to you, Your Majesty, that we will never serve your gods or worship the gold statue you have set up.”

HOBBIES

Spending time with my family; watching sports and movies; swimming; playing pool and board games.
