10:30 AM Service
    3 Classes*
        Age 3 – PreK
        K – 2nd grade
        3rd – 5th grade

Children are invited to join worship with their families at the start of the service. Then they will be released to class with their teacher and helpers. We are using the TRU curriculum where children will have a time to connect, hear from God’s word (“The Big God Story”), and respond to God’s word with an ending time of prayer and blessing.

At the end of each service, parents can pick up their children from their classroom.

*Children, of course, are welcome to stay in the worship service with their household. A child–friendly sermon outline, coloring page, children’s Bible and song book are available at the sanctuary entrances.

Our RidgeKids will delight us with their singing on December 15th during both the 9am and 10:30am worship services.

Do you have kids participating in RidgeKids activities? If so, please fill out a release form so we have emergency information on file.

  • An adult must fill out this form
  • One form per child
  • Check each box to confirm your compliance
  • Form applies to all Awana and RidgeKids events

Wednesday Night Activities

Sept 2024 – March 2025

The Awana Clubs program is designed to foster connection with loving, caring adults so kids know they are loved by God and His church.

Learning and memorizing Scripture helps children know the Gospel, study God’s Word and believe what it says about life.

Through relationships and Scripture, children are discipled to grow a deep and lasting faith.

We’re kicking-off another season of Awana with the Carnival!
No dinner served that evening but lots of games, prizes and snacks.

Awana is for kids 2 years to 5th grade (nursery is available for children of volunteers).
If you haven’t registered yet, it will be available to fill out that night.

What you need to know about registering for Awana:
  • Registration for 2024-2025 season ended September 11th.
  • NEW! online form available (see link above) – don’t worry, we still have paper copies that can be filled out by hand.
  • A QR code for online registration is also posted at the Children’s Registration Desk.
  • One form per child must be completed.
  • This form applies to both Awana and RidgeKids events.

**Due to multiple factors registration doesn’t guarantee placement in an Awana class:

    • Children of leaders and volunteers will receive first priority.
    • Placement will be communicated before classes begin Wed, September 18th.
    • Nursery is reserved for volunteers’ children.

PUGGLES

AGES 2 – 3

Puggles teaches children four Big Truths from the Bible — God made everything, God is great, God loves us, and we give thanks.

CUBBIES

AGES 3 – 4

Cubbies celebrates the spiritual potential of preschoolers by helping them learn core truths about God, Jesus and salvation.

SPARKS

GRADES K – 2

Sparks ignites children’s curiosity and builds a foundation for knowing Jesus Christ. They will be discovering important people in the Bible and using that knowledge to connect the verses they are learning to their lives.

T&T

GRADES 3 – 5

T&T encourages kids to explore the meaning of God’s grace and how it affects our relationship with Him and others.

The Awana Grand Prix is a special event in which clubbers race small wooden cars crafted by themselves with the help of a parent or other adult.

Race car build night is an extraordinary event where many members from MapleRidge Church come to help the kids and their adults build their cars. We provide all the materials and equipment so that each clubber can safely construct the car of their dreams.

Race Night is a night full of energy and excitement! Many clubbers bring family members to help cheer on their cars as they speed down the track. Each age group has their own set of speed awards. There is also an overall speed winner. So there is the potential to win two speed awards!

Don’t forget about the design award! A separate team of judges will evaluate the cars before the races begin to make an expert decision. They take into account the shape of each car as well as how creatively each car has been decorated.

Grand Prix Race Night is one of the highlights of our Awana year. Can’t wait to see you there!
