DESCRIPTION:
The Family Ministry Equipping Coordinator is a 10-hour part-time position that will oversee events that train and equip parents and adult volunteers for children pre-k through 5th grade.
The spiritual formation of children and families is a priority at MapleRidge Church. This will be reflected in programming that intentionally creates spaces for moments of awe and wonder in the presence of God that leads to life transformation in community with other followers of Jesus through practices of Scripture, silence, solitude, and service.
RELATIONSHIPS:
- Shall work with and directly under the supervision of the Senior Pastor.
- Shall communicate with parents/guardians of children.
MINISTRY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To oversee and implement programs that equip parents to minister to children.
- To train and equip parents by encouraging involvement in classes, support groups, and resources that nurture the spiritual formation of their child’s life.
- To continually assess the needs of households with children and create Christ-centered environments for them to gather with each other and reach out to families outside the church.
- To collaborate with the Sunday AM and Wednesday PM Children’s Coordinators.
- Communicate with families of program participants.
To work within the budget set for training and equipping parents.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Be a growing Christian, committed to Jesus Christ, and confident of God’s call to serve as a children’s minister in the local church.
- A passion and love for our children and families; to see them grow in their faith together.
- Be spiritually qualified according to the biblical standard of leadership (I Timothy 3:1-13; II Timothy 2; Titus 1-2).
- In agreement with our doctrinal statement, and committed to our mission statement, vision statement and core values.
- Have the necessary training and proven competence in their area of responsibility.
- A spiritual leader who is relational, mature, a clear communicator, and able to connect with children and adults.
- Must submit to a criminal record background check.

Are you a college student passionate about making a difference in young lives? We are offering a unique paid internship opportunity where you can disciple middle school students as followers of Jesus Christ on Sundays and Wednesdays.
DESCRIPTION:
The Middle School Student Ministry Intern is a paid 10-hour part-time position that will primarily work directly with 6th – 8th grade students on Wednesday evenings and Sunday mornings.
The spiritual formation of students is a priority at MapleRidge Church. This will be reflected in programming that intentionally creates spaces for moments of awe and wonder in the presence of God that leads to life transformation in community with other followers of Jesus through practices of Scripture, silence, solitude, and service.
RELATIONSHIPS:
- Shall work with and directly under the supervision of the Senior Pastor.
- Shall communicate with parents/guardians of children.
- Shall collaborate with student ministry adult volunteers.
MINISTRY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To oversee and implement programs that minister to students.
- To assist in leading the Wednesday evening student ministry programing.
- To attend Sunday worship services and to lead and/or assist in leading Sunday morning Bible study with students.
- Communicate with households of program participants.
- To work within the budget set for the student ministry.
