Kristel Peters
Minister of Worship
MY FAITH JOURNEY
I became a believer at a young age and understood through the communication of teachers and flannel graph my need for Christ. I am blessed to have been raised in a Christian home where faith was valued and engagement with church encouraged. The most impactful part of my journey with Christ is learning to listen and discern the still small voice of the Spirit amongst the decisions, craziness, and noise of life. Since college I’ve been on a path of knowing ministry would always be a part of my life. Not knowing the capacity or where God was going to direct, I went to Bethel Seminary to better connect the faith my heart knows so well with more in depth knowledge of Scripture. God directs, it’s my job to be as prepared as I can for where he leads and keep learning!
FAMILY
I love being an Auntie to the kids of both my family and friends! I also spend time spoiling my cat whom I refer to as my fluffy toddler, Rose.
PASSIONS FOR THE KINGDOM
I love the local church and the community that is fostered while we figure out Jesus together. If I can be a part of helping someone connect to Christ I’m on board! My ministry tool is music, which requires people to participate (both creating and receiving), and I pray that the experience people have participating gives them the motivation to know and seek God more deeply.
FAVORITE BIBLE VERSE
Watch over your heart with all diligence for from it flow the well springs of life. (Proverbs 4:23)
HOBBIES
Aside from my love for music, I enjoy experimenting in the kitchen with new baking recipes, reading a good book, and getting outside (sun or snow!)
